WITH Bonus Photos from 10 and 11 Years Ago!

I have my one week post-op doctors appointment this afternoon.  I expect he'll just tear off the bandages, look at the stitches, tell me they look fine, wrap them up in a smaller bandage and schedule me for another appointment next week where he will do the same thing.  I believe the results of the tests on the tissue they took out will have come back with "Clean" edges and that will be the end of the cutting.  I'm sure they would have called me by now if that wasn't the case.  I can't remember for sure, but I'm either going to have to go in for exams every month or every three months now for the next year.  When I asked why I had to do that the last time I had surgery there, I was told very sternly by the head nurse that "Cancer is a very serious matter, you need to be checked more often until we're satisfied we got everything".  Whatever.  I went through that drill three years ago and it didn't stop me from getting it again, did it?  Although, I am grateful we caught it early.

Here are, as promised, 3 photos from 10 and 11 years ago.  The first one was taken in London in 2001 when a group of us were setting out for a pub crawl.  Yup, it's morning (freezing cold) and apparently a normal thing to do over there in the morning is start a pub crawl.  Yes, I had the 9th Doctor's coat before he even thought about getting it. (Jealous?)  Still have it too, in case I want to do a little Doctor Who cosplay.  The other two are from the year 2000 when I went to meet two of my British friends and my Texan friend Wayne in Austin.  You obviously can't tell from the photos, but it was about 1,000 degrees F with 120% humidity while we were there.  Can you believe I actually have a tan?  Come to think of it, I believe that's the last time I had any color to my skin at all.  I stayed at a really neat B&B my friend Wayne recommended that Russell Crowe stayed at when he was there filming or recording his album, not sure which.  It was really nice, too bad the other guests went to bed so early and got mad when we sat out on the porch talking on my first night.  Oh well.  The first one is of the four of us outside Wayne's mom's house and the second one is us at a BBQ place watching a country band play.  You can't tell, but I DO have a black cowboy hat one.  It looked silly.  The bottom two are scans of photos, so that's why you see that weird smudge on both of them.

Tell me the truth, do I look old now compared to those pictures?

I miss having that hairstyle.  :-(

Have a great day everyone, and, as always, be good to each other.
